Job Description

theMednet is looking for an Oncology Director to join our team of engineers and physicians. We are an educational startup at the forefront of oncology research. You would be working with friendly, like-minded peers who are passionate about improving cancer care. We are an ego-free environment and are laser focused on our mission of helping oncologists deliver the best care to their patients. theMednet values a healthy work-life balance with full benefits and the potential to work remotely if needed. Plus, there are no EMRs or insurance companies to deal with! The position may be done remotely or at our headquarters in NYC. One day out of the week will be reserved as a clinical day. For candidates who chose to relocate we have a partnership with NYU to treat underserved cancer patients at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, with a faculty appointment at NYU.

The Oncology Director will head content, engagement, and expansion of the oncology communities and oversee our multidisciplinary virtual tumor board program and ASCO Journal Club program. He or she will establish relationships with oncologists all over the country, establish new engagement initiatives, provide editorial oversight, and oversee expansion into further oncology subspecialties.


  • Manage a team of physician editors
  • Oversee content on the site and develop initiatives to keep content up to date and relevant
  • Develop, strategize, and own projects to drive engagement
  • Manage expansion into additional oncology and hematology communities
  • Collaborate on projects related to partnerships with SWOG, NCI-designated cancer centers, and ASCO


  • Passion for improving the quality of cancer care on a large scale
  • Excellent writing and communication
  • Board certified or board eligible in medical oncology and hematology
  • Broad knowledge base of solid and hematologic malignancies and hematology
  • Willingness to build strong personal relationships with oncologists throughout the country
  • Outgoing, friendly, and creative personality
