Our Mission: TheMednet is a physician-facing question and answer platform that connects the world’s top academic physicians with the most innovative technology to share knowledge that improves care for patients across the country. TheMednet was originally started in 2014 in oncology and today includes over 25,000 specialists in all 11 internal medicine subspecialties, neurology, and dermatology. TheMednet was featured in Inc. Magazine as one of the companies changing the future of medicine and was recently recognized in the New England Journal of Medicine as an important resource for physicians.
We are a physician and engineer from Yale and MIT, respectively. We founded theMednet after our father, also a physician, was diagnosed with cancer and we realized how difficult it was to know what to do when the answers are not found in textbooks, guidelines, or UpToDate, but rather trapped in the heads of experts. We created theMednet to document expert knowledge and give physicians everywhere access to that knowledge.
Our team includes clinicians, medical educators, engineers, and researchers from academic institutions and tech companies such as Google, Spotify, and Microsoft. We are all innovative, optimistic, and mission-driven.
Our culture is shaped by our mission and values. Our values are to put our users first, have a can-do attitude, take ownership, and treat each other right. Our first value is our most important- any decision we make must start by asking whether we are helping physicians make better decisions for their patients.
We have received both public and private funding from the most respected organizations in health and technology such as the National Science Foundation, Y Combinator, The SWOG Hope Foundation, and the Bonnie Addario Lung Cancer Foundation. We partner with organizations similarly committed to research, education, and high quality care including the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), and the American Neurological Association (ANA).
theMednet is looking for a Clinical Content Editor to join our medical editorial team. You would be working with friendly, like-minded peers who are passionate about medicine and improving patient care. We are an ego-free environment and are laser focused on our mission of helping patients get the best care. We are located in New York City.
The Clinical Content Editor will work directly with our Medical Director of Oncology on special programs on theMednet on new and emerging data.
