Do current recommendations still advocate for the avoidance of ipsilateral blood draws, IV catheterizations, and blood pressure readings in those who undergo breast surgery without axillary lymph node dissection?

What are the current recommendations in terms of risk reduction of cellulitis and lymphedema in women undergoing sentinel node biopsies rather than more extensive axillary dissections? I understand the practice of avoiding blood draws, intravenous catheters and blood pressure readings has been falling out of favor and data suggests it may not be an issue. As an old school oncologist, I remain surprised when my breast cancer patients tell me they never heard of such precautions.
