Do you feel there is value to getting endothelial cell counts in the absence of frank edema/visual significance in your management endothelial dystrophies?

I would, yes, mostly for patient understanding of their condition and following up on it objectively. There is a clinical benefit, but it is limited.

I don't use endothelial cell counts, but base my decision to pursue surgery on symptoms, visual acuity, pachymetry, and tomography. Sometimes pre-clinical edema can be identified first via the posterior elevation map on a tomographer, which can be tracked over time.
