How do you logistically incorporate a "scope and score" of a patient with newly diagnosed advanced ovarian cancer into a busy OR schedule?
If you determine the patient is a candidate for PDS, do you schedule them to return to the OR at a short interval, or do you proceed with surgery that same day? Do you schedule other cases, knowing you may end up doing a lengthy primary debulking procedure?

This can definitely be tricky. In my practice, I typically scope and score the same day as I plan to do their debulking surgery, booking cases like this as the last case of the day.
