How do you treat refractory focal status epilepticus in patients with traumatic bilateral subdural hematomas?

It is important to know a few more facts:

• Are the subdural hematomas acute/relevant? Or are they chronic findings (remote symptomatic epilepsy)? If they are acute, are they significant enough to cause brain compression needing neuro-surgical intervention?
