Is superficial underdosing of hypofractionated breast RT acceptable in patients with a large breast separation?
When trying to eliminate dose heterogeneity during field in field planning for hypofractionated breast radiation with a large separation, the resulting plan may have the prescription isodose line fall ~5mm deep to the skin surface, is this superficial underdosing acceptable?
