Should fasting C-peptide levels be used to guide T2DM management?

Do you check C-peptide levels in patients with T2DM?

• Yes - Especially if their glucose trends are acutely out of control despite similar diet/exercise
• Yes - I do this periodically as late onset autoimmune diabetes is becoming more prevalent
• Yes - I do this because it does affect how I manage their medications
• No - I don't check if their diagnosis of T2DM is very clear
• No - I don't check regularly because it's not part of the standard of care
• No - I don't check because I'm not sure how it will change my management
• I am not sure if I should be checking.
