What is the role of EGFR inhibitors in patients with metastatic transverse colon cancer?

How do you approach treatment for RAS/BRAFT WT metastatic colon cancer with primary in transverse colon?

• Treat as L-sided: use chemo+EGFR inhibitors in first line
• Treat as R-sided: use EGFR inhibitors only in later lines
• Treat depending on exact anatomy and nearness to hepatic or splenic flexure
• I have not adopted 1st line EGFR inhibitors for L-sided tumors and I reserve EGFR inhibitor for later lines in all patients
• I have not adopted 1st line EGFR inhibitors for L-sided tumors and tend not to use them in any line
