I think there is a lot of nuance managing weight in pregnant patients with ESRD. Pregnant patients have better fetal and maternal outcomes when clearance is increased. It has been a long time since I had a pregnant patient on dialysis. Factors that will decide how much fluid to remove include: symptoms such as shortness of breath, blood pressure, degree of edema, degree of weight gain, and other exam findings.
