In addition to the excellent answer by @Dr. First Last I recommend looking at @Dr. First Last's answer here.

Though her answer is about recurrent parotitis in Sjogren's, the tx and workup recommendations are similar and useful (leaving out the anti-inflammatories if no inflammation is present).
