What is your treatment approach for an adenoma malignum of the cervix?
7 cm tumor limited to the cervix with no vaginal or parametrial invasion on exam and not lymphadenopathy or metastatic disease on imaging. Cystoscopy and proctosigmoidoscopy were negative as well.

Data for this rare entity is mixed but for now, treat with the same philosophy as other histology with chemo RT.

These are rare tumors, and I have treated a few, typically local recurrences after surgery. They tend not to metastasize but be locally invasive and slow growing. Given the size of the lesion, this is a case in which I would favor pre-operative RT to 45 Gray, followed by pre-op doses of brachytherap...
