What protocols or safeguards do you implement if bed bugs are found on a patient or their belongings while on the treatment table or near equipment?

What precautions can be taken to limit infestation of the department? Do you implement a treatment delay and if so how do you decide when to resume?

Typically once a bedbug is identified, the patient is brought directly into our inpatient holding bay so that there is limited time to contaminate common areas of the department. Our protocol is very close to Dr. @Dr. First Last's.

We have an isolation holding area with a direct outside door close to the vault where identified patients are held until treatment.
