When do you consider using multiple antipsychotic medications for chronic management of psychosis?

I've used multiple antipsychotics in three different types of scenarios:

I use a second antipsychotic at times, mainly another generation for treatment-resistant hallucination and paranoia when clozapine is not an option for the patient (poor adherence to weekly blood draws).
