When will you prescribe 3 v. 6 months of FOLFOX or XELOX for the adjuvant treatment of colon cancer?
The abstract of the pooled meta-analysis is not definitive (JCO 35, 2017: suppl; abstr LBA1), and of the phase III trials (SCOT, TOSCA, Alliance/SWOG 80702, PRODIGE, ACHIEVE, HORG) several are not directly relevant to the US population due to the more standard use of FOLFOX > XELOX in the adjuvant setting.

I agree for the most part with Yousuf for shortening to 3 months for those with T3N1 tumors, but I will have a low threshold for recommending 6 months of chemotherapy for any hint of a higher risk.
