When would you consider using selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) for managing uveitic glaucoma?

I would only consider it as an option to avoid surgery in a patient that has been quiescent for a minimum of 3-6 months and has no/minimal PAS on gonioscopy.Of course warning the patient, it might mark result in a new bout of uveitis and no guarantee of success.

Is your elevated pressure from uveitis or steroid response? Once iritis is controlled, often related to steroid response, so SLT excellent to stretch the TM. Also, pilocarpine is excellent to stretch TM once no anterior chamber reaction is noted.&n...

Definitely not during an active flare. Only if completely quiet for at least 6 months off of steroids, with no history of recurrence. For those with a history of recurrence, needs to be quiet of at least 5 years off of steroids.
