I prefer Xeomin based on relative cost, patient assistance programs, and sample availability to use at initial visits to start injections right away.

There are no good quality comparison studies of botulinum toxins for dystonia. These studies are very difficult to do as dystonia is clinically heterogeneous and the treatment effect lasts much longer than what can be measured using clinical rating scales over a few weeks.
