In general, patients with ileal conduit and those with neobladder can be considered for kidney transplantation.

In general, it is safe to proceed with kidney transplant in patients with urinary diversion. Although surgical complications, metabolic complications and increased risk for urinary tract infections are higher, this does not contribute overall to decreased graft survival.
