Yes. We now have a formal fertility preservation program in our institution that was started by and is based in our oncology division. The goal is to discuss fertility preservation options with all patients at the time of diagnosis, regardless of age or prognosis.

I think it would be best practice to have our fertility team meet with every newly diagnosed oncology patient; however, our staffing doesn't allow that currently. Therefore, we focus on meeting the post-pubertal males to counsel them for sperm banking, high-risk males and females who may be eligible...
