Do you treat non-albicans strains of Candida on sputum culture or BAL in patients who are immunosuppressed?

Most of the time, NO, because it is most likely a contaminant from the mouth flora while introducing the scope.
Candida not Albicans, I treat it.
I treat if there is a + lung Bx. of Candida albicans.
