That probably depends on how you define "time to intubation". In the study, we measured time from induction of anesthesia to intubation and % of successful intubations on the first attempt, which were nearly identical between groups (Table 3).

Based on Gibbs et al., PMID 38869091, the use of NIV for pre-oxygenation did NOT delay the time to intubation. The evidence suggests that NIV for pre-oxygenation is both effective and does not delay time to intubation.
