For pregnant nontransfusion dependent beta thalassemia patients, when would you consider ESAs for worsening anemia?

Is there a specific hemoglobin threshold at which you consider ESAs? Do you prefer observation to see if the patient autocorrects towards delivery if not needing blood transfusions?
