I tell my patients that you can expect some improvement within 1-2 weeks and maybe sooner. However, I counsel they should give it at least 2-3 months before they decide the Rx did not work. I agree with what has been said so far and would add that I recommend a longer trial of 6 months before categorizing as a treatment failure. A few of my most challenging PN cases have had excellent results but didn't see major improvements until month 4-6.
