How do you manage polymorphous eruption of pregnancy (formerly PUPPP)?

The symptoms can be really miserable. I try to control it with antihistamines (don't find these helpful in most cases) and topical steroids, but that doesn't always cut it. If I think they need systemic corticosteroids, I check in with their OB. Any other less conventional thoughts?
