How long do you continue antibiotics after cholecystostomy tube placement for acute cholecystitis?  

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, increasingly we see management of acute cholecystitis with cholecystostomy tubes as opposed to surgery, even amongst patients who are good candidates for surgery. The data on durations of antibiotic therapy in this setting are limited. How long should we continue antibiotics in patients with cholecystostomy tubes, until surgery or sooner?
