I agree with Dr. @Dr. First Last's scholarly reply. Toxoplasmosis is a relatively common cause of chorioretinitis. It frequently causes bilateral scars, but when it reactivates from a scar, it does so in just one eye-unless the patient is severely immunocompromised.
