Is it safe to treat patients who have thermal burn scars in the field?
E.g. breast? I have found no literature on skin tolerance acutely or chronically.

All what I can say is that I have treated 2 patients with thermal burn scars, big ones, and I was very worried. The indication for RT was very strong.
It went fine without a problem and with the routine expected skin reaction.

I have had similar experience for breast cancer. No significant toxicity. However, I have seen some patients with skin cancers arising in burn scars and the literature tells you to beware these - higher doses required.
