What has been your impression of the clinical outcomes for photobiomodulation for dry AMD?

Overall, very positive! Patients notice small but significant improvements in their visual function. Seems to reverse some loss due to GA.

I think we have a responsibility towards our patients to educate them without any conflict of interest so that they can make informed decisions. The literature so far has not convinced me that PBM does much, if at all, in AMD. I do not recommend it at this time.
