We usually start no later than 9 weeks post hysterectomy. It is based on this retrospective study.

There is no definitive data for this question but I agree with @Dr. First Last. We usually recommend postop VCBT after hysterectomy within 4-6 weeks for wound healing at vaginal cuff. I have seen a patient with small bowel in the upper vagina due to vaginal cuff dehiscence.
