What is your approach to treatment of lupus peritonitis?

Lupus peritonitis is difficult to treat and there are no evidence-based approaches, to my knowledge.

I think ruling out other causes like malignancy, infection, perforation, thrombosis, liver disease, and renal/cardiac causes, as well as malabsorption and malnutrition, is the first step.
