  • Daily events and no need to reduce ASMs
  • Shorter wait time
  • The patient cannot bring a loved one to the EMU
  • The patient cannot be hospitalized for days

To add to Dr. @Dr. First Last’ answer, an ambulatory EEG may be more practical if the patient is having events in certain scenarios or places that can’t be replicated in an EMU. Perhaps the patient has events only in a certain room in the house, or only when they’re cooking, etc.
