I wouldn’t. Antiviral treatment does not result in any benefit for the patient, so I would not do it.

You may decrease EBV replication with acyclovir, but the symptoms of mononucleosis are actually caused by the immune response, not the virus. There is a Cochrane review about this: De Paor et al., P...
