Where does alpha-gal testing fit in your workup of a patient with nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea?

I routinely test for galactose-alpha-1,3-galactose (alpha-gal) in someone with recurrent hives. Lately, also someone with nausea. I have not been testing for this in those with diarrhea.
