DNR does not mean do not treat. Based on clinical situations and expected longevity, I rescinded DNR temporarily with consent to give definitive treatments like a permanent pacer or to place a stent during STEMI.
Interesting situation. Agree there is no single correct answer and that not all decisions are covered by guidelines. Need shared decision-making with the patient or POA.
