How do you approach a patient with Stage I node negative ER+ invasive ductal carcinoma s/p lumpectomy who has an intermediate Oncotype?
While we await the results of TailorX, what has been the experience in your practice? If the decision for adjuvant chemotherapy is made, do you feel comfortable using AC Q3weeks instead of dose dense?

Intermdiate scores always require a long discussion with the patient - this is definitely a case with no one answer. The potential benefit of ANY chemotherapy is quite small. Some patients may accept chemo for that small benefit, others easily defer. I haven't used AC alone in many years. When I do ...

I agree with Kathy's comments. Parenthetically I never order an Oncotype or other genomic test without discussing what we will do with the results with the patient. Decision-making regarding an intermediate score in a stage I patient usually involves the other characteristics (age, comorbidity, pers...
