We don’t use anything for outpatient HDR ICBT for cervical cancer.

I currently use SCDs but only during the implant portion. My implants are done as an outpatient procedure with anesthesia and lasting ~ 5hrs total from start to completion of delivery.

Outpatient brachy SCDs only.

If going to be admitted, then SCDs plus 5000 Heparin.

If on direct oral anticoagulation, then hold the DOAC and bridge with Lovenox (give Lovenox and SCDs during procedure).

We also obtain presurgical blood work within 2 days prior to procedure.
