The answer to this question requires a careful look at the design of CheckMate 648. The trial was designed to compare the efficacy of chemo + Nivo vs. chemo AND IPI + Nivo vs. chemo. A prespecified analysis based on PDL1 status (1% or more vs. all) was also part of the design of the study.
